CITY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES

The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia is an internationally renowned architectural and cultural complex designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela. Inaugurated in 1998, this impressive complex has become an iconic symbol of the city and a must-see tourist destination.

The complex stretches for almost two kilometers along the old Turia riverbed, and is made up of several futuristic structures and spaces dedicated to culture, art and science. Among its most outstanding buildings is the Hemisfèric, with its human eye shape, which houses an IMAX cinema and a planetarium.
